2005 Hyundai Santa Fe TRANSAXLE truck/ATA solenoid Diagnostics REPAIR MANUAL
Topic: ATA solenoid P0740 diagnostic codes, P0741, P0743, P0748, P0742 P0746 P0750 P0755,,,,,, P0760 P0765 P0770 this TSB supersedes TSB # 05-40-006, the DTC descriptions you want to include in step 10. Description: the run-time transaxle, the following three symptoms: solenoids can lead to a repair procedure: 1. Check Engine light is on 2. The Transaxle was held at 3. gear in "safe mode" 3. Diagnostic trouble codes P0740, P0743 P0746 P0741, P0742, P0748, P0750 P0755,,,,, or P0760 P0765 P0770 set. Note: replace the transaxle solenoid codes open short listed. Follow the below for warranty service. 1. using the Hi-Scan Pro, check the DTC "engine" and "automatic Transaxle" menus. Store the DTC, and description. 2. Select the Hi-Scan Pro: ^ ^ "" Hyundai vehicle diagnosis "menu" ^ ^ "" menu "Auto Transaxle Actuation Test" ^ press F1 button (STRI) and, second, from the LR test UD, DCC and FSV solenoid (if necessary). Follow Hi-Scan and listen to the sound of the solenoid in the engine compartment. ^ If the Hi-Scan: "^" error "and the solenoid-sound will be heard, go to step 3. ^ "Ready" and the solenoid wires to the PCM/TCM voice will be heard, there is no open or short circuits. Go to step 5. 3. Visually check the wiring harness of TCM and the transaxle damaged wire or a short circuit to ground. Disconnect the connectors to the transaxle and the PCM/TCM solenoids and check for bent pins or PIN is not fully installed in the connector. If so, repair or replace the ECM control harness, P/N 914XX-XXXXX 4. Check the harnesses inside the transaxle oil the bottom of a short circuit to ground. Replace the harness if damage is found, or if at least three of the solenoid of the DTCs are found in step 1. (See instructions in order to ensure that the TSB # 04-40-015). Zoom size printing 5. View DTC measured in step 1 and follow the repair procedure. Solenoid replacement: 6. remove the battery. 7. drain the radiator. Remove the lower radiator hose from the radiator. 8. drain the ATF. 9. remove the valve body transaxle
