2001 Daewoo Leganza timing belt removal and installation of IT in the manual

Timing belt removal 1. Disconnect the negative battery cable. Remove the intake Air temperature sensor connector into the intake air duct. Remove the intake air hose to the throttle body. Remove the valve cover breather pipe. Removing the throttle body resonator. Remove the air filter housing. 2. raise and support the vehicle. Remove the right front wheel. Right front piece splash shield remove the wheelwell. Remove the serpentine accessory drive belt. 3. Remove crankshaft pulley bolts. It is not necessary to remove the crankshaft sprocket center bolt. Remove the crankshaft pulley. Lower the vehicle. 4. to support the engine Assembly from the top of the support cleats (J-28467-B). See Figure 1. Remove the engine mounting bracket the timing belt from the engine. See Figure 2. 5. remove the power steering hose clamp bolt and insert the hose off the timing belt cover. Remove the front timing belt. See Figure 3. By using the crankshaft center bolt, rotate the crankshaft one complete Turn in the clockwise direction (as the end of the timing belt engine). 6. align the mark on the bottom of the notch in the rear of the crankshaft sprocket timing belt cover. See Figure 4. Align the camshaft sprocket timing marks with the notches on the valve cover. See Figure 5. 7. loosen the automatic tensioner bolt. Rotate the tensioner to relieve tension with an Allen wrench and a timing belt. See Figure 6. Removing the timing belt timing belt tensioner Figure 6: identify courtesy of DAEWOO MOTOR America installation 1. To ensure that the crankshaft and cam shaft timing marks are aligned. Install the timing belt. See turn the timing belt tensioner counterclockwise to tension the timing belt. Turn the tensioner until the pointer aligns with the notch on the rear timing belt cover. Tighten the automatic tensioner bolt specification. See torque specifications. 2. using the crankshaft center bolt, rotate the crankshaft in a clockwise direction (seen from the timing belt from the motor) 2 full rotations. Make sure the timing belt tensioner pointer still allocated slot. 3. If the timing belt tensioner is aligned correctly, install the timing belt cover. See Figure 3. Install the timing belt from the motor to the motor mount bracket. Position the power steering hose in place and install the bracket to the bolt. Install the crankshaft pulley. Reinstall the serpentine accessory drive belt. 4. install right front splash shield. Replace the right front wheel. Install the Air filter housing and the resonator.
