1999 Daewoo Lanos is IT the timing belt removal and installation manual
Timing belt removal 1. Disconnect the negative battery cable. Remove the intake Air temperature sensor connector into the intake air duct. Remove the intake air hose to the throttle body. Remove the valve cover breather pipe. Remove the air filter housing. 2. raise and support the vehicle. Remove the right front wheel. Right front piece splash shield remove the wheelwell. Remove the accessory drive belts. See Figure 1. 3. remove the power steering pump pulley bolts (if equipped). Remove the power steering pump pulley. Remove the crankshaft pulley center bolt. Remove the crankshaft pulley. Lower the vehicle. 4. remove the upper timing belt cover and. See Figure 2. Remove the power steering pump mount bolts (if equipped). Set aside the power steering pump with hoses attached. 5. using the crankshaft center bolt, rotate the crankshaft, one size Rotate clockwise (seen from the timing belt from the engine). 6. align the mark on the bottom of the notch in the rear of the crankshaft sprocket timing belt cover. See Figure 3. Make sure the cam sprocket timing marks face each other. See Figure 4. 7. Slightly loosen the water pump bolts.
