2002 BMW M3 Coupe/t-SMG gearbox clutch does not engage in repair manual
The SITUATION the gear indicator in the instrument cluster flashes while driving, or when it is in place, the gear is available, the switch does not engage but the indicator flashes. The CAUSE of the "Hood stuck" mode is not recognized in the SMG control unit because one or both of the hood latch to the micro switches does not work properly. 1. If one of the micro switches is not, it is possible to do, but the gear indicator in the instrument cluster flashes. 2. If both the micro switches have failed, the gear selected, but the clutch will not engage and the gear indicator in the instrument cluster flashes. Failure to do so may cause damage to the micro switch Assembly or adjustment incorrect. Another possible cause is an incorrect handling of micro switches workshop during the visit. The workshop should be taken to ensure that no tools are inserted into the lower hood latch assemblies, coupling element of the micro switch can be bent or damaged. Do not use the tools to the opening! On the basis of the customer's complaint, as well as to REPAIR the hood latch to the micro switches DISplus or GT1.
