Nvidia Introduces Project Shield Portable Android Powered Gaming Console
Out of the blue after announcing the Tegra 4 processor, Nvidia announced project shield which is basically a gaming console powered by their all new Tegra 4 processor. The console will be running pure android with no skins over it. It has a 5" display which is 720P and a full array of console controls like dpad, joysticks and many more. The mini console also sports I/O like HDMI, microUSB and a microSD slot for memory expansion. One cool feature of the Shield is that it is capable of streaming your games from your PC through your shield over wifi or LAN provided you have a geforce graphics card. Overall Project Shield looks to be a very promising device and is sure to be a hit amongst gamers who want portability. The shield will be available in the US and Canada in Q2 2013.
